Nicholas Greenberg

Nicholas Greenberg is founder and Director of Midwest Strategy Partners, LLC.  He has over 17 years of business advisory experience, including independent strategy consulting, traditional consulting with McKinsey & Company, and M&A advisory for middle-market companies.

His long-term professional focus is leading custom research, report writing, and project management efforts on behalf of professional investors and executives.  By topic, his work has focused in growth strategy, due diligence, market & competitive assessments, and M&A advisory.  His clients have ranged from startups, to established middle-market companies, to Fortune 1000 businesses, and private equity firms.

Since 2014, Nicholas has led an independent consulting practice, founding Midwest Strategy Partners in 2015.  Select client projects served include:

  • A commercial due diligence in US specialty financial services markets

  • A commercial due diligence and M&A target scan in formulated molding polymers

  • A commercial due diligence focused on the US market for specialty doors

  • A global market assessment and validation for a Fortune 1000 Company’s new product innovation

  • A growth strategy effort for a private equity portfolio company in super-duty epoxies

  • A growth strategy effort for an online educator in US professional education markets

  • Authoring a CIM presenting an electronics manufacturer to US private equity

Previously, from 2010-2014, Nicholas Greenberg served a range of consulting engagements with McKinsey & Company.  There, he held responsibilities including managing the day-to-day efforts of client service projects, leading the creation of project deliverables, drawing contributions from junior and senior project staff, engaging client executives and stakeholders, and delivering project outcomes on schedule.  With McKinsey, his typical work focused in strategy, acquisition and market due diligence, and economic analyses of project- or enterprise-level initiatives.

Earlier, from 2004-2010, Nicholas developed a mergers & acquisitions background serving as Vice President with Bayview Capital Group, a boutique sell-side advisory serving middle-market firms with $10-100 million in sales and $1-10 million in operating profits.  In his tenure with Bayview, Nicholas performed research and diligence in preparing client companies for sale, collaborated extensively with client executives and owners, wrote offering memoranda used to market client companies, and solicited investment interest from a global audience of professional investors, including private equity groups and select strategic acquirers.

Nicholas has held a wide range of financial and professional licenses, with former licenses including FINRA Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 28 (Financial and Operations Principal), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent – State Law).  He received an MBA in Finance as a Dean’s Fellow at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and a B.A. from Stanford University.
